Ever known a golfer whose balls seem to have a magnetic attraction to the woods or tall grass? Every time they hit the ball, you know it’s going to take some time before their ball is found. Which means the foursome behind you is going to fuss and…well you know the rest.
My neighbor Jim is one of those guys. He started playing golf about 10 months ago. And he’s gone through balls of all types. Now water hazards don’t seem to bother his game at all. But trees, tall grass are an entirely different story. The trees and tall grass just call Jim’s golf balls and those golf balls follow the call.
Well Jim’s wife, Ellie just bought him a gift I know he’s going to love. It’s called a
Radar Golf System. The balls have a built in microchip detectable with a hand held monitor. The microchip is built into the core and is so tiny it doesn’t affect the golf ball’s performance.
The monitor is as big as your hand and has a green LCD screen which pinpoints the ball’s location. The radar golf system also has a beep tone signal which gets louder and faster the closer you come to the ball. Jim’s wife tested in my backyard just to make sure it works. With the permission of other neighbors we moved the ball around and this system located the ball everytime.
This is an easy to use system. You need to work one ball at a time as the little machine goes crazy when multiple balls are out at the same time. The company includes two special shielding packets for the extra balls. You get a big bag to shield the balls inside your golf bag. And a tiny one bag to place an extra ball in case the ball does get hit into the pond.
My take: the Radar Golf System is one neat device which works. You’ll have fewer penalty strokes and so better your score.
